Features

Firm, water-soluble non-woven backing with the strength of a fabric (weight: 40 g/m²).

Washes away cleanly in warm water, leaving behind no residue.

Strong enough to handle high stitch densities and dense appliqués without tearing.

comes in a 30cm x 3m roll

Origin:

Made in Germany

The craft shop is located in Sydney, Australia. We ship worldwide.

Embroidery can be worked directly onto Avalon Plus or onto a fabric with Avalon Plus as a backing support. At 300 microns it is soft against the skin.

Fixing Avalon Plus into a hoop:

Cut a piece of Avalon Plus larger than the embroidery hoop.
Position the Avalon Plus in the hoop with the fabric to be embroidered on top of it. Smooth it out and tighten the hoop.
If your fabric has a deep pile 2 layers of Avalon Plus can be used.

Completing the stitching:

Stitch the design onto the fabric.
Cut or tear away large the Avalon Plus around the finished stitching.
Wash the item in warm water. Repeat if needed to remove all the residue.
Squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry.
