Instructions for Use:

COTTON SOFT is a soft, versatile embroidery stabilizer and is very easy to tear away in both directions.

Machine embroidery:

COTTON SOFT stabilizes the fabric and prevents it from distorting during the embroidery process. Cut a piece of COTTON SOFT to the desired length from the roll and place it underneath the fabric to be embroidered. Secure both firmly in the embroidery hoop, with the fabric on top. Once embroidery is complete, carefully tear away any excess stabilizer.

Machine appliqué:

Place COTTON SOFT underneath the fabric to which the appliqué is to be attached. After the appliqué is applied, carefully tear away any excess stabilizer.

Patchwork Quilting Foundation Paper Piecing:

Trace the design onto the COTTON SOFT using a pencil. After sewing the fabric pieces in place, carefully tear away the stabilizer.

Tips:

Always store COTTON SOFT in its sealed tube to protect it from dirt and moisture.
For projects requiring extra stability, multiple layers of COTTON SOFT can be used.
Cotton Soft should be fixed into the hoop with care. Don´t pull it too tightly or pull it at the edge after it has been hooped. It might tear easily.
Once washed, small pieces of Cotton Soft might remain on the back of the embroidery. The embroidery will still feel very soft and these small fragments will make no difference to the finish.
