Vlieseline Soluvlies as a temporary reinforcement for machine embroidery - Soluvlies can then be washed out completely. It can also be used for small patchwork projects. Suitable for all types of sewable and washable textiles.

Soluvlies is made from 100% polyvinyl alcohol (PVAL), a water-soluble synthetic polymer, and weighs 38 grams/m2. Available in white and with a width of 90cm.

Using Soluvlies:
Place a piece of Soluvlies under the fabric and mount the fabric in an embroidery frame. Embroider the desired motif with the sewing machine then simply wash Soluvlies in cold/lukewarm water and it will be completely dissolved.

Embroider a motif directly onto the Soluvlies, without fabric then simply wash out the Soluvlies.

For collages or pizza technique work, lay the Soluvlies down and arrange the fabric pieces, yarns, ribbons, lace, etc. on top. Cover with another piece of Soluvlies and sew all layers together either in a grid or freehand pattern. Wash out the Soluvlies.

Important note: Do not iron Soluvlies or tear off. Always wash out.
