Blue Bonnets live in the arid parts of inland Australia. They are found in southern Queensland, New South Wales, north-west Victoria, and south-western Western Australia in areas with low growing shrubs like saltbush and bluebush. They are also found in areas with scattered trees and sometimes sand dunes. They eat a wide variety of fruits, seeds. flowers, nectar, and insects. They nest in tree hollows.
